Counselling
Allow me to outline what is meant by “Counselling”.
“Clients use counselling to help them resolve emotional, psychological and relationship issues, and to improve their overall well-being and mental health.”
Counselling does not need to be difficult or strenuous although it can be challenging as issues arise, Counselling can also be exciting as it brings new levels of realisations. Since 2008 I have walked alongside clients to assist in working through the perceived obstacles that have been in their way and draining their emotional health.
We believe the most vital component that leads to change; healing and personal transformation is the relationship you form with your counsellor. We have a reputation for a natural approach with clients.

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
C.G.Jung
Our approach to counselling
We use an integrative approach – one which reveals how, as a person, we come to be who we are. Throughout our lives, if we perceive that our needs or desires are not being met by those whom we love, the subsequent pain becomes systematically buried within the architecture of our psychology.
This is especially true of traumas encountered during infancy and throughout formative years. Our role is to act as your “mirror” in which you learn to see yourself more clearly and understand more completely the events which have led to your current situation. Once established we can then work together to help you restore balance to your inner world.
After an initial consultation a treatment plan will be agreed with the client. We will continually review this plan for its effectiveness in your treatment.
Counselling is a great source of support for people challenged with anxiety, addiction, bereavement, depression, or other mental health issues. Counselling is also an effective way to deal with the challenges that everyday life presents. Are you looking to improve communication and interpersonal skills, work on self-acceptance and self-esteem? Counselling can enable individuals to change self-defeating behaviours/habits, give better expression and management of emotions, including anger.
Are you experiencing difficult and distressing events in your lives, have you underlying debilitating feelings or become dissatisfied with life. Counselling involves talking about events in your life, the feelings and emotions we have attached to those. We will explore your relationships, thinking and behaviour patterns. Together we will map these patterns and explore why the past is always present in your life and with a new understanding move towards a more for filled future.
